Long Island Youth Climate Summit

We support all renewable energy options — including solar, offshore wind, battery storage (BESS), and more — for a clean, reliable, and just energy future for Long Island.

The Long Island Youth Climate Summit (LIYCS) is an annual event that brings together high school students from across Nassau and Suffolk counties to learn about climate change, clean energy, and solutions for a more sustainable future.

Hosted by Students for Climate Action (S4CA) and Renewable Energy Long Island (reLI), the summit creates a space for young people to explore climate science, connect with professionals in the energy and environmental fields, and gain tools to take action in their schools and communities.

Each year, students participate in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with experts working on climate and clean energy issues across Long Island and New York State. The summit is designed to empower the next generation of climate leaders by providing students with real-world knowledge, career insights, and opportunities to collaborate with peers who are passionate about climate solutions.
