The purpose of these BOEM Meetings is to provide information and take comments from the public on the Environmental Assessment (EA) of the NY Wind Energy Area.

6 pm – Registration / “Open House” format: There will be posters around the room with details on various topics (BOEM’s leasing process, fisheries, marine mammals, navigation, etc) with a BOEM staff person at each to answer questions. There will also be a table w/a court reporter where people can go and give comments either verbally or on comment cards.

6:30 – BOEM presentation: Brian Krevor will give a presentation on the BOEM leasing process and overview of the EA. Should be about 15 mins, followed by a Q&A opportunity. All questions and comments received at that time will be part of the official record. It will be informal (ie they are not going to keep a list and call people in order). They will likely ask that people keep it brief and provide more lengthy commentary directly to the court reporter or online prior to the 7/6 deadline.

Once the Q&A concludes, the Open House format will resume and conclude no later than 8 pm.
