The International Solar Energy Society and The Global 100% Renewable Energy Campaign invite you to join the upcoming webinar on the question:
What does 100% Renewable Energy mean for local governments?
26 August 2015 at 12:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time)
Participation is free for everyone.
Three expert panelist speakers will present during the webinar followed by a questions and answers session with the participants.
Gordian Raacke, from Renewable Energy Long Island, will discuss what led to the Town of East Hampton’s decision to become the first municipality in the State of New York to set a community-wide 100% renewable energy goal, while explaining next steps for making this bold vision a reality.
Ana Marques from ICLEI will present examples of measures which local governments are adopting to transition their communities to 100%RE, followed by a dialogue with the solar industry to help shape the guidance provided to local governments on solar energy through an online platform called Solutions Gateway.
Yannick Régnier from CLER will speak about the activities carried out in France for 100% renewable energy regions. The CLER is a professional network promoting renewable energies and energy saving since 1984. CLER promotes a new energy model in which local governments play the main part.
