reLI Visits WindScape: Learning More About Local Clean Energy Innovation
Yesterday, Renewable Energy Long Island (reLI) visited WindScape Brooklyn, New York’s first learning center dedicated to offshore wind education. Located in the Sunset Park neighborhood, home to New York City’s historic working waterfront. WindScape offers an interactive space where visitors of all ages can explore how offshore wind works and why it matters for New York’s clean energy future.
Why this matters for Long Island and New York
As New York continues to expand its offshore wind capacity, spaces like WindScape play an important role in building public understanding and support. They help bridge the gap between large-scale infrastructure projects and the communities they serve.
For organizations like reLI, visits like this are a valuable way to strengthen knowledge-sharing and better connect clean energy education efforts across the region.
reLI would like to thank the WindScape Brooklyn team for welcoming us and sharing their time, expertise, and vision. We appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your work and the role you are playing in advancing offshore wind education in New York!
