Join Us for a Unique Discussion About Offshore Wind with Abigail Ross-Hopper, Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).

Business, labor, and environmental leaders will join together to discuss the benefits and challenges of offshore wind for Long Island

The Long Island Association (LIA), in partnership with the Long Island Offshore Wind Coalition, will provide an informative and robust discussion exploring the role offshore wind power can play for Long Island.

New York is poised to be a leader for offshore wind with two potential projects, one off of Montauk and the other off of Long Beach. Join us for a presentation by BOEM Director Abigail Ross-Hopper on how offshore wind could impact Long Island's energy future. She will also discuss BOEM's role in balancing ocean protection with advancing renewable energy.

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and Q & A session, featuring Kevin Law, President of the Long Island Association; Clint Plummer from Deepwater Wind; and leaders from labor and environmental groups, to discuss offshore wind's potential impact on Long Island's environment and economy.
