The LIPA Board of Trustees will select proposed power projects for the South Fork of Long Island in the spring. The January 20 meeting and the March 16 meeting provide an opportunity for the public to let LIPA know that we want a say in our energy future. LIPA can choose polluting power plants for the South Fork or clean energy solutions like solar, offshore wind, energy efficiency, and battery storage. LIPA is expected to announce their decision in May. Let LIPA know what your community wants.
