    Sustainable Transportation Event

    USGBC-LI in Hauppauge, NY

    Our transportation choices and policies have large environmental, economic and social impacts. It is a major contributor to air pollution and greenhouse gases; 27% of U.S. greenhouse gases are from transportation. Transportation represents 28% of total energy consumed in the U.S.

    Join us for a night of networking, and engaging conversation. There will be two lively panel discussions on the latest developments in bike share and electric vehicle technology and incentives. Panelists will include experts in these fields as well as local leaders helping to shape the coalitions needed to foster more sustainable transportation on Long Island.

    Public Hearing on LIPA Integrated Resource Plan

    The NYS Department of Public Service is seeking comments from the public and other interested persons, and will hold public statement hearings, concerning the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP or Plan). The IRP was prepared by PSEG Long Island LLC (PSEG LI or Service Provider), and provided by the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) to the Department on April 24, 2017.

    The purpose of the IRP includes forecasting future load and energy use in the LIPA service territory, identifying supply and demand side resources to meet load, and evaluating alternative resources that could deliver reliable energy to customers.
