PROJECT SUMMARY:
The Riverhead Solar Farm is a 6.3 MWac fixed-tilt solar photovoltaic facility under construction in Calverton, NY. The project will generate clean, safe solar energy with zero emissions and will displace approximately 8,322 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions each year. The project will not produce any noise, and a vegetative buffer will be installed along Edwards Avenue to protect the local viewshed and maintain the rural character of the area. Following the end of the project's useful life, the site will be restored to its original condition. The project is currently under construction with an April 2015 target completion date.
