Bio: Jennifer Garvey, Deepwater Wind
Jennifer Garvey is the Development Manager for Long Island where she leads the company’s public affairs, community relations, and stakeholder engagement operations.
Jennifer has extensive experience working in grassroots coalition building, legislative affairs and program implementation. Jennifer served as deputy chief of staff in the Town of Southampton where she managed a broad portfolio of issues with a focus on environmental and land-use policy.
Most recently, Jennifer served as associate director of the New York State Center for Clean Water Technology at Stony Brook University, a research and development entity she co-founded. Jennifer led strategic planning and program implementation at the Center, which focuses on developing more cost-effective technologies to protect and restore Long Island’s water quality.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University.
