Introduction to Solar Policy Workshop

The Introduction to Solar Policy Workshop provides local policymakers with the basic strategies and best practices used to develop a regulatory framework to support a growing solar market. Participants in this half-day event will learn how to take advantage of economic development opportunities offered by solar development through smart policies and local programs. The workshop will review nationally accepted planning and zoning best practices, strategies to reduce administrative burdens through transparent and streamlined permitting processes, and programs that expand financing options and drive adoption of cost-effective solar projects. Policymakers that complete this course are eligible to receive free one-on-one technical support in designing and implementing smart solar policy in their jurisdiction.
