Bio: Bruce Humenik, Executive Vice President, Applied Energy Group (AEG).
Mr. Humenik has more than forty years of multi-disciplined management experience in the electric and gas utility industry.
He has extensive expertise in the areas of strategic planning, renewable energy, demand side management, transmission planning, and project management. He has provided strategic and technical consulting services in New York to LIPA, PSEG Long Island, KeySpan, National Grid, Avangrid, NYPA and NYSERDA. He has also developed and implemented energy efficiency programs for the Village of Freeport and provided transmission planning services to the Village of Rockville Centre in coordination with LIPA.
Prior to joining AEG, Mr. Humenik held several positions at the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) in several functional areas including T&D Planning, R&D, Finance and Energy Efficiency. Mr. Humenik was a technical consultant to the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) for the first Long Island Offshore Wind Project south of Jones Beach and was a member of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Evaluation Team that selected a developer for a proposed Offshore Wind Project.
Mr. Humenik holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from Long Island University.
